EVENEMANGET SKJUTS UPP TILL HÖSTEN 2021.
Finnish companies strive to be forerunners in plastic waste management. The plastic waste management starts from cleaning the waters from it, separating it and refining it until it can be re-used in various ways. Products from bio-based and ecological plastics are also developed to better manage the plastic lifecycle. In this innovation challenge RECOIN – initiative with Novago and Posintra bring together companies LAMOR and Plastex to find new partners and solutions to accelerate the ecosystem of plastic lifecycle management.
Participate in an open innovation competition!
Solutions for plastic reuse are now being sought through in an open innovation competition. The Upcycling Plastic Waste Innovation Challenge challenges companies to develop solutions to the challenges of cleaning and reusing plastic waste. The challengers of the innovation competition are the Finnish companies LAMOR and Plastex.

Lamor is a Finland based company specialising in cleaning the world through oil spill response, waste management and water treatment. Established in 1982, the company currently has presence in 104 countries with 350 employees, meeting needs of approximately 40% of the global oil spill response market. True to Lamor’s mission “Let’s clean the world”, the company is now looking to clean the waters.

TAKE PART IN SUSTAINABLE LIFECYCLE OF PLASTIC INNOVATION CHALLENGE!
Plastex is a Finland based company producing plastic products for consumers, technical products and packages having strong emphasis on design and sustainable product development. Plastex is a family-owned company established in 1936 and having been situated in Lohja since 1943. Plastex has sustainable and environmentally friendly production as its guiding principle, and this challenge is one initiative that aims to ensure the goal of 40% of their products are made of circulated and bio-based materials. In 2020 the share out of recycled and bio-base material usage out of total raw material usage is 15%.
