Co2Jump – a climate leap into partnership!
The “Co2Jump” project is a novel exploratory networking initiative that aims to develop the climate sustainability of small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the climate leadership of the municipality. The networking approach is supported by the digital CELLL development tool, designed by Laurea University of Applied Sciences, combined with comprehensive business development provided by Posintra.
The project entails the design and piloting of a collaborative climate partnership model in cooperation with the city of Porvoo and 40 SMEs operating in the Porvoo region. The climate goals of the SMEs will be linked to their comprehensive business development. The goal is that the target businesses of the project will create their own carbon roadmaps and adopt new solutions that promote emission reductions. The project also aims to increase awareness about how to get funding to support energy transition, for example.
From the perspective of public procurement, the region’s enterprises and the city of Porvoo have a common interest to cooperate in developing climate-sustainable solutions. Therefore, the city is going to allow the shared and open examination of its procurement-related climate goals via methods such as workshops.
The operational period of the project is 1 May 2023 – 31 October 2025. The main financier of the project is European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The total budget of the project is EUR 483,309, of which the part implemented by Posintra is EUR 285,768. The project is implemented by Posintra Oy and Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
