What is Co2Jump?

Co2Jump is a new and experimental networking initiative to develop climate resilience in SMEs and climate leadership in municipalities. This network approach uses the digital toolkit CELLL, developed by the Laurea University of Applied Sciences, and a large-scale business development tool provided by Posintra.

The project will put together and pilot a community-based climate partnership model in cooperation with the City of Porvoo and 40 SMEs in the Porvoo region. The companies’ climate objectives will be linked to their overall business development.

Project objectives

The aim is for the target companies to develop their own carbon roadmaps and to implement new solutions that promote emission reductions. The project will also help understand how to get funding, for example, to make the green energy transition.

From a public procurement perspective, the City of Porvoo and companies in the region have a mutual interest in working together to develop climate-resilient solutions, which is why the City of Porvoo is opening up its climate objectives to scrutiny in, for example, the workshops.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), is being implemented by Posintra Oy and Laurea University of Applied Sciences, and will run from 1.5.2023 to 31.10.2025. The total budget for the project is €483,309 and the Posintra sub-project will contribute €285,768 of that.
