The second application round for cost support was opened on Monday, December 21, 2020.

The purpose of the cost support is to help companies deal with the difficult financial situation caused by corona. The support is compensation for the company’s inflexible costs and for salary costs. The aid is aimed at companies whose turnover has decreased by at least 30% due to the coronavirus. Foundations and associations that conduct business can also receive cost support. The cost support is granted only for the association’s / foundation’s financial activities.

The aid is retroactive in nature, ie it is paid for costs already incurred. Companies that fall outside the sectors can also apply for support, as according to law, support can be granted at the discretion of those companies that meet other conditions for granting support. The State Treasury aims for all eligible companies to receive support. However, no cost support can be granted for the primary agricultural production, fishing and aquaculture. These sectors cannot even be supported in a discretionary way, as they are subject to separate state aid rules under the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

The State Treasury is responsible for the implementation of the application and the second application round for cost support was opened on Monday, December 21, 2020. The application ends on February 26, 2021, at 4.15 pm. Those who meet the conditions laid down by law receive support.
